Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho ジェリコの戦い
Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho（ジェリコの戦い）はアメリカの民謡です。
他にも『Joshua Fought de Battle of Jericho』や『Joshua Fit the Battle』、単に『Joshua』などの名前でも呼ばれます。
良く知られているアフリカ系アメリカ人の霊歌であり、またジャズのスタンダードナンバーとしも有名です。
この歌詞は旧約聖書の中に登場するエリコの戦い（ヨシュアがイスラエル人を率いてカナン人の都市ジェリコを攻略した）を物語っています。
ヨシュアが兵士達に向かって「叫べ、角笛を吹け」と命令すると、笛と声によってジェリコの城壁が崩れ落ちます。

聞いた事がありますが、いつ？どこで？が思い出せません。
動画を見ていると黒人系のパワフルな声の演奏が多くて、圧倒され、そして感動します。
