Aura Lea（オーラ・リー）は1861年に出版されたアメリカの歌です。
タイトルは『Aura Lee』と綴られる事もあります。
この曲が出版された直後にアメリカでは南北戦争がはじまり、歌は南北両方の兵士によく歌われました。
歌詞は金色の髪の乙女について語っていて、感傷的なバラードです。
メロディーはエルヴィス・プレスリーの1956年のヒット曲『Love Me Tender』にも使われています。

聴いた覚えのあるメロディーですが、歌詞は全く記憶にないので『Love Me Tender』と混同しているかもしれません。
美しい曲ですよね。
意外と渋めなバリトンのオジサン・ボイスが合うような気がする・・？
