The Gospel Train（福音列車）はアメリカの民謡（霊歌）です。
「Gospel　ゴスペル」は「福音」およびに「福音書」の意味で、キリスト教の聖典の核心であり、イエス・キリストの言行録の事です。
歌詞は、「ゴスペルトレインがやって来ます、さあ、子供たちよ乗りましょう」と語っています。

作詞・作曲

作詞者も作曲者も分かりませんが、アメリカの牧師ジョン・チェンバレンがこの曲を書いたという説があります。
